PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Eleanor E. Curtin of Peekskill died May 15. She was 91.
Curtin worked for N.Y. Telephone in Yorktown as an administrative assistant prior to retiring. Locally, she was a eucharistic minister at Church of the Holy Spirit and a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital.

Hopefully the same bill will get rid of the toll on I-95 north of New Rochelle. I go out of my way to avoid that one as well (which is more expensive - $1.75).
When you don't require your passengers to buckle up, especially children, it becomes more complicated. I will not start my engine until everyone is buckled. I certainly agree that drivers who use a cell phone or text (?!!!) while driving should be hung by their thumbs. But it's easier to spot someone without a seat belt than someone using a cell phone. I'm grateful that the police are going after any of these fools.
