The Planning Board will meet on Thursday,  Sept. 3 at Yorktown Town Hall at 7 p.m to host a public hearing on Costco's site plan.

The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce said it expects this meeting will be Costco's last one as it hopes to get its final approvals to begin construction. The Chamber said it is hoping to have people attend to show their support for Costco.

The 151,092-square foot store and  members only gas station will be on Route 202 at 3200 Crompond Road.

Supporters of Costco said it will help increase the town's tax base while those opposed are concerned about increased traffic and impact on small businesses.

Costco said it will produce $900,000 in annual tax revenue to the town and school district.
