Analysts are still trying to decide how the entire year will look for the auto industry, with predictions ranging from a finished year at 16.9 million; others predicting that the industry will pass the 17-million mark, reported The Wall Street Journal.
The highest amount seen was in 2000, when the industry solder 17.3 million vehicles, according to The Wall Street Journal.
