Vicky's Cake Bar Competes For Grant To Open Cupcake Shop In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Vicky’s Cake Bar has entered the Chase Mission Main Street Grants contest, which helps small businesses by giving away grant money.

Applicants need 250 votes by Friday, June 19, to move on to the next round. If Vicky’s Cake Bar wins a grant, the money will go toward opening a storefront in Yorktown Heights.

Vicky’s Cake Bar is an online bakery established in 2011. Its mission is to bring new, innovative flavors to cupcakes. Vicky's also bakes other sweets such as cookies, cakes and cake pops. Vicky’s French toast cupcakes are its No. 1 seller. 

Vicky's also has adult cocktail cupcakes, for which identification is required. These sweets feature flavors like margarita and Baileys Cream Cake, which are infused with alcohol.

For a taste of Vicky’s Cake Bar, come to Relay for Life of Yorktown on Friday, June 12. All proceeds from that day will go toward Vicky’s Cake Bar’s Relay for Life Team. During the Survivor Ceremony for Relay for Life of Yorktown, Vicky’s Cake Bar will bring out cupcakes for each survivor to celebrate that she overcame cancer.
