WCA President Marissa Brett Honored by United Hebrew Of New Rochelle

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Marissa Brett, president of the Westchester County Association, was one of three people honored with the Community Service Award from United Hebrew of New Rochelle, an assisted care, rehabilitation center and nursing home.

Also honored were the Rev. Martin Biglin, pastor at Holy Name Church in New Rochelle, and Pearl Quarles, former Westchester County legislator (the first African- American legislator), member of the board of United Hebrew of New Rochelle and an active member of various community organizations.

This was the sixth annual Community Service Awards presentation.

“All of the honorees have taken action to make our community a better place... Marissa Brett, who is president of the Westchester County Association, does this through the BLUEPRINT for Westchester, the WCA’s major economic development initiative to revitalize the Westchester economy,” said Rita C. Mabli, president and CEO of United Hebrew.

As president of the WCA, the business leadership organization that serves Westchester County and the region, Brett is leading efforts to drive economic vitality. Westchester County is undergoing a dramatic transformation, thanks to her and the WCA’s efforts to create Work.Live.Play communities for young professionals, implement new initiatives to attract and grow early stage companies, and provide critical support to help Westchester’s burgeoning healthcare and life sciences sectors flourish.
