Animal Rescue Group Holds Adoption Event In Yorktown

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- A New Chance Animal Rescue (ANCAR) announces two important upcoming Dog Greet-and-Meet events in North Salem and Yorktown for individuals who have been considering adopting a dog.

The first event takes place on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ANCAR will be present at the SPCA Walkathon at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights. The ANCAR table there will have some of their adoptable dogs to meet, and volunteers who will be able to answer questions about volunteering and/or fostering. The public is invited to come to the table and get to know some of the dogs. 

FDR Park is at 2957 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights.

On Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., ANCAR will be present at the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Show. With them will be some of their adoptable dogs, along with volunteers who can answer questions about volunteering and/or fostering. All are welcome to come visit their table and meet the canines. 

Old Salem Farm is at 190 June Road, North Salem.

If you are interested in adoption, please be aware that in order to adopt a dog at the event, you must have already submitted an application online that has been approved, including a completed home visit. Applications cannot be submitted at the event.
