Suffern stopped the erratically-driven 1998 blue Mercedes Benz at 2:40 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Road and Glenbrook Parkway.

At almost the same time, an alert went out for several males — one armed with a handgun — who fled in a blue Mercedes after chasing another, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

Backups arrived and all four occupants were taken into custody on illegal gun possession charges after finding the .25-caliber Beretta.

Nosakhare Nobore, 19, Teaneck
Paul Howell, 18, Englewood

All three remained held on $50,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail.

A 15-year-old boy who was with them was taken to the county Juvenile Detention Center in Teterboro on a deliquency complaint.

Meanwhile, city detectives were working with federal ATF agents to identify the gun’s origin.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-844-466-6789 or the Englewood Detective Bureau at (201) 568-4875. All calls will remain confidential, Torell said.
