Jefferson Valley Mall Launches Pet Adoption Series

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights has joined forces with Putnam Humane Society to launch a series of monthly pet adoption events.

Beginning on Saturday, Feb. 13, the community is invited to attend the event, which is from noon–3 p.m. 

“We are eager to support Putnam Humane Society in their mission to find ‘forever homes’ for the homeless, abused and neglected animals of our community,” said Alexa O’Rourke, director of marketing and business development at Jefferson Valley Mall. “This new partnership is just one example of Jefferson Valley Mall’s efforts to actively support vital local organizations.” 

During the adoption events, which will take place in the Center Court, shoppers will have the opportunity to meet dozens of cats and dogs who are in need of good homes. Upcoming adoption event dates include: Saturday, Feb. 13; Sunday, March 13; Saturday, April 9; and Saturday, May 7.

Founded in 1957, the Putnam Humane Society is a not-for-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in Putnam County.
