Closter Library Organizes 'Maker Days' Events

CLOSTER, N.J. -- Closter Public Library will hold a series of events on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 in honor of "New Jersey Maker Days."

The goal of "Makers Days" is to celebrate the culture of creation and get people working with their hands.

The events are as follows:

  • Friday March 18 3:30 - 4:30pm: Work alone or in teams to make the best marble run course ever!
  • Saturday March 19 starting at 10 a.m.: Join us for the Mars / Art Explorers Exhibition, an exhibit of paintings and sculpture by our students
  • Saturday March 19 10 a.m - 11 a.m.: Make a Loom to keep and learn a fabulous new knitting technique.
  • Saturday March 19 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.: Can you make a doodle bot? Give it a try and get to keep your own bot.
  • Saturday March 19 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.: Try out our new technology — finch robots. snap circuits. lightups.
  • Saturday March 19 12:15 p.m. - 1 p.m.: Make an LED bookmark
