Muscoot Farm Offering November Family Programs

SOMERS, N.Y. – Muscoot Farm in Somers is offering a variety of family programs throughout November.

Blacksmithing Workshop – Saturdays, Nov. 1 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Adults 18 and older can learn the basic skills of blacksmithing with craftsman Bill Fitzgerald. Fee is $85; pre-registration is required. Owl Prowl – Saturday, Nov. 1 from 7-9 p.m. Join naturalist and owl expert Bill Gallo for a walk to call these magnificent birds. Owl Prowl will meet at the activities building. Mondays at Muscoot Bird Walk – Monday, Nov. 3 at 8:30 a.m. Join Anne Swain from Saw Mill River Audubon for a walk through fields and woods. The Muscoot Bird Walk will meet in the parking lot. Storytime Tuesdays – Tuesdays, Nov.  11, 18 and 25 from 1-1:45 p.m. Favorite stories for young and old will be read. Basket Workshop – Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Fees and registration required. Click here to register.

History Hike – Sunday, Nov. 9 from 1-3 p.m. Visit all the buildings at the farm and learn about its history. 4-H Thanksgiving Day Program – Sunday, Nov. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. Members of the 4-H Club will tell stories of the Thanksgivings past. Wreath Making Workshop – Saturday, Nov. 22 from 1-3 p.m. Fee is $20; pre-registration required. Muscoot Farm is a Westchester County park located on Route 100 in Somers.
