This year, the Law School is honoring The Honorable Jonathan Lippman, chief judge of the state of New York and 1995 Pace Law alumnus, Andrew V. Tung, a partner with Divney Tung Schwalbe, LLP, a multidisciplinary land planning firm.
Each year, the Law School recognizes individuals in the community who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal community and have supported the Law School.
Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman was appointed in January 2009 by Governor Paterson. Some of his initiatives include championing access to justice, funding for civil legal services for the poor, pro bono service and more.
Andrew V. Tung is a registered landscape architect, a non-practicing lawyer, a LEED-accredited professional, and a graduate of Pace Law School. Currently, Tung is the principal-in-charge of his firm’s services for the master plan improvements at Pace University’s Pleasantville campus.
Also being recognized at the dinner as this year’s recipients of the 2013-2014 Richard Ottinger Faculty Achievement Award are Professor and former Pace Law School Dean Michelle S. Simon and Professor Jill I. Gross.
The Ottinger Award is given annually by the Pace Law School Faculty to recognize a full-time professor’s outstanding service to the law school, the legal profession, or both.
