Peekskill Coffee House Welcomes All For Postcard Tuesdays

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Peekskill Coffee House has always been a gathering place for the community. So said Owner Sunny Cover who has added her cafe to the list of places people are coming together for Postcards Tuesdays.

The Peekskill Coffee House is located in the Flatiron Buiilding, so-called because of its triangular shape, just steps from the Paramount Center for the Arts.

Every Tuesday, a group of concerned citizens gather at tables and express their concerns in writing to local and national leaders. They have been meeting at the Black Cow Coffee Co. in Croton (go HERE for previous Daily Voice story) but have expanded to include The Peekskill Coffee House.

"With your help," said their most recent update, "we are getting very close to our goal of sending 10,000 cards. Specifically designed cards are waiting for you. Stay and write. Grab and go."

The event is slated for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28.

Cover was quick to stress that all are welcome. "I'd love some Republicans to come," she said. "We're all in this together."

The Peekskill Coffee House is at 101 S Division St, (914) 739-1287, www.peekskillcoffee.com.
