CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Support Connection is gearing up for its annual walk.
The Yorktown-based organization, which assists women battling cancer, will be holding a kickoff breakfast on Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the lobby of Hudson Valley Hospital. The breakfast is free and open to everyone.
Support Connection staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and assist anyone who wants to participate in the walk. Brochures, flyers and other materials will be available, along with info on donating, fundraising, forming teams, and ways to participate even if you can’t attend the walk. The Support-A-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer will take place on Sun., Oct. 2, at FDR Park, Route 202, Yorktown Heights, NY. It is held to bring attention to the needs of people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, and to raise funds for Support Connection’s free support services for those living with these diseases.
