YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The 10th annual Westchester/Rockland Walk4Hearing will be held Saturday in Yorktown Heights.
Hundreds of people from throughout the state will gather for the 5K walk, which is organized by the Westchester/Rockland Chapters of the Hearing Loss Association of America.
The event is designed as a fundraiser and to raise awareness of the 48 million Americans who struggle with hearing loss.
Westchester/Rockland Walk4Hearing will include a variety of activities for children, technology demonstrations such as captioned announcements through smartphones, prizes, and refreshments.
Individuals and teams of walkers can still participate in the 3.1-mile walk.
Registration and activities begin at 10 a.m. at FDR State Park, 2957 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights.
The walk begins at 11 a.m.
