Somers Library Gaming Club: 3 p.m. The Somers Library hosts the Gaming Club where kids can play games on the Nintendo Wii, card games and board games. This club is always open to new members throughout the school year and is intended for Middle and High School students

Lasdon Park Dedication In Somers: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On May 18, Armed Forces Day, veterans and local officials will commemorate the ceremony with a dedication of a bronze American bald eagle that will rest outside of the newly-renovated Westchester County Veterans Museum. Prior to the sculpture dedication, the 22nd annual Friends of Lasdon Plant Sale will be underway from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Organized by the Friends of Lasdon, the plant sale benefits projects and programming at the park. Lasdon Park is located on Route 35 in Somers.
Yorktown Monument Ceremony: 11 a.m. The Pines Bridge Monument Committee (PBMC), in conjunction with the Yorktown Historical Society (YHS), is happy to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the Battle of Pines Monument at Downing Park, 2881 Crompond Road Yorktown Heights. The first lot of sponsorship bricks will be unveiled near the site of the actual monument. The 5th New York Regiment re-enactors will be on hand for a Living History program, demonstrating the everyday life of Continental Soldiers while encamped during the American Revolution/War for Independence. Somers Community Day: Noon to 4 p.m. Kick off summer with the family fun day, a bouncy castle, face painting, cotton candy and more. Meet your neighbors this Sunday at the Somers Community Center. For more information, call Donna at 914-523-2893.
Family Nature Scavenger Hunt At Angle Fly Preserve: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore the trails at Angle Fly to find treasures in nature.
