Friday, May 24

Somers Library Gaming Club: 3 p.m. The Somers Library hosts the Gaming Club where kids can play games on the Nintendo Wii, card games and board games. This club is always open to new members throughout the school year and is intended for Middle and High School students.

Yorktown Fire Junior Corps 10th Anniversary Pasta Night : 6 p.m. The Yorktown Fire Junior Corps will be holding its 10th Anniversary Pasta Night at 6 p.m.  $10 for Adults, $8 for children under 10. Yorktown Fire, 1916 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights

Yorktown Memorial Day Parade: 11 a.m. Yorktown American Legion Post #1009 invites all members of the New York National Guard assigned to Camp Smith to march in the 2013 Memorial Day Parade at 11 a.m. After a short ceremony, the parade will march from town Hall to the DeVito Veterans Memorial Park Gazebo on Veterans Road. The Somers Memorial Day Parade: 10 a.m. The parade, hosted by Somers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8213 will continue from Somers Middle School to the Veterans Memorial in Ivandell Cemetary. A remembrance ceremony will follow the parade with refreshments served at Somers Town House. The Somers Historical Society Museum will be open to the public following the ceremonies at Ivandell Cemetery until 1 p.m.

Antiques Fair At Lasdon Park: 10 a.m. The antiques shopping tradition will feature music by Gary Dillon and the Friends of Lasdon will be offering plants for the spring and summer seasons. Dozens of dealers from New England and the Mid-Atlantic states will be present at booths and tents and the show is set to continue through the afternoon rain or shine. Admission to the fair is $7 and there is no charge for parking. No dogs are allowed on the Lasdon grounds or inside of cars. The Lasdon Park and Arboretum is in Somers on Route 35, west of I-684.
