Yorktown and Mohegan Lake Fire Budget and Commissioners Elections: Both polls will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Residents in Mohegan Lake's district can vote at the Jefferson Valley Fire Station at 500 Lee Blvd. Residents in Yorktown's district can vote at the firehouse at 1916 Commerce St.

Meet the Author’s Night: 7 p.m. Join the John C. Hart Memorial Library for a literary night out and meet local authors, Susan Berliner, Gary Chattman, Ratna Dalal, Jim DeAcutis, Louise T. Gantress, RoseMarie Panio and Olive Peart. Each will talk briefly about their books, which will be available for sale and signing. No advance registration is necessary. 1130 E. Main St.

Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Identity Theft Seminar: 8:30 a.m. The chamber will discuss "Identity Theft Protection for You and Your Business." The event is free for members and $15 for non-members. There will be a presentation by Laura Forbes, senior assistant district attorney in the Westchester County High Technology Crimes Unit. Yorktown Coach Diner, 340 Downing Drive.
