Saturday, Oct. 13

Farmers' Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Yorktown Farmers' Market is every Saturday until Oct. 27. Veterans Road behind the Yorktown Fire Department.

YHS Music Boosters Tag Sale: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sixth annual YHS Music Boosters Tag Sale returns. Dozens of families contribute items to the sale. Baked goods also will be available and admission is free. Donations will be accepted from 3-8 p.m. Friday and can be brought to the YHS band room. The boosters are looking for donations of new or gently used collectibles, books, household items, small (working) appliances, clothing, furniture, toys, sports equipment or other treasures. No baby items, stuffed animals, upholstered furniture, mattresses, pillows or exercise equipment. Yorktown High School Cafeteria, 2727 Crompond Road.

Sunday, Oct. 14

Community Car and Contraption Show: Noon. Peter Pratt's Inn hosts its 10th Annual Croton Heights Community Car and Contraption Show featuring cars, tractors and antique mechanical exhibition. Cary Brown Jazz Concert: 3 p.m. The Presbyterian Church of Yorktown will kick off its 12th annual Sunday Afternoon Concert Series with an afternoon of jazz with the Cary Brown Trio. 2880 Crompond Road.
