What's Happening Around Yorktown This Weekend

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Fieldhome's Fall Festival and a varsity football game are some of the events happening around Yorktown this weekend. For even more things to do, check out our Events page.

Friday, Sept. 21

Yorktown Football: 6:30 p.m. Yorktown High School's varsity squad (1-1) will travel to Poughkeepsie (2-0) for a matchup. The Huskers are coming off a 35-34 overtime win against Ossining High School last week. 70 Forbus St., Poughkeepsie.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Yorktown Farmers Market is every Saturday until Oct. 27. Veterans Road behind the Yorktown Fire Department.

"Annie, Jr." Auditions: 9 a.m. The Eclipse Theatre Company will hold auditions for its production of "Annie, Jr." The play is for children between 7 and 11 years old. 2051 Baldwin Road.

Charity Karate Tournament: 9 a.m. Jim Smith Karate will host a tournament to benefit Community Cares. There will be raffles and giveaways. 250 Mahopac Ave.

Fall Festival: 11 a.m. Fieldhome hosts its eighth annual Fall Festival. There will be arts and crafts, a classic car show, pumpkin patch, bake sale, fall plants sale, a kids zone with inflatable rides, pumpkin decorating, face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, games and prizes. There will also be a food drive to benefit Yorktown Community Help Inc. Attendees can bring canned and dried foods to donate. Admission and parking are free. 2276 Catherine St., Cortlandt Manor.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Flea Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Antiques and collectibles will be on sale. Veterans Road behind the Yorktown Fire Department.
