What's Happening This Weekend In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Residents have several opportunities to try to beat the heat this weekend in Yorktown.

Saturday, July 7

FDR State Park: 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Swimming pool capable of holding 2,000 swimmers is open Saturday and Sunday. $2 adults, $1 children. Parking $8. Picnic tables throughout the park also available.

Town Pools: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Junior Lake Pool at Memorial Park with water slide and Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility at Shrub Oak Park with diving boards and interactive water playground open Saturday and Sunday. Daily fees for residents without seasonal passes.

Farm Fresh: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pick your own vegetables or visit the farm stand at Hilltop Hanover Farm, 1271 Hanover St.

Bowling: 9 to 11:30 p.m. Cool off with moonlight bowling. Jefferson Valley Lanes. $20 per person (includes shoes). DJ music. 3699 Hill Blvd., Jefferson Valley.
