What's Happening This Weekend In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y.  – An outdoor concert and a fire department fundraiser are some of the events happening around Yorktown this weekend. For even more things to do, check out our events page.

Saturday, Aug. 25

Turtle Time: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Meet Teatown’s turtle ambassadors and learn about proper turtle care from enclosure size, design, heat, lights, diet and more. The event is free for members and $5 for non-members. Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road.

Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Yorktown Farmers Market is held every Saturday until Oct. 27. Veterans Road behind Yorktown Fire Department.

Mohegan Fire Fundraiser: Noon to 4 p.m. Abbott's Frozen Custard in Shrub Oak will be donating a portion of its sales to the Mohegan Lake Volunteer Fire Association. The  event is to help raise funds for its 90th Anniversary Parade on Sept. 15. 1143 East Main St.

Sunday, Aug. 26

Flea Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Antiques and collectibles will be on sale. Veterans Road behind the Yorktown Fire Department.

Yorktown Lions Concert: 6 p.m. The Show Time Dance Band will wrap up the Lions' summer concert series with a performance at Jack DeVito Field on Veterans Road.
