What's Happening This Weekend Near Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – It’s a holiday weekend but there are still several events scheduled in and around Yorktown worth checking out on Saturday.

Saturday

-Yorktown Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt, 10:30 a.m.The Yorktown Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt that was cancelled last week due to rain will be held at Downing Park for children 12-years-old and under. There are special prizes for those who find specially marked eggs. The event is co-sponsored by the Yorktown Lions Club.

-Easter Bunny PhotosChildren still have time to take a photo with the Easter Bunny and get a free gift in center court at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Prices for photo packages vary.

-Pony Rides, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.Pony rides at Cimarron Ranch in Putnam Valley will cost $5 per ride. Call Ray Wood (914) 382-0826.

-Film viewing of “Take Me Home,” 7:30 p.m.For adults looking for a night out, the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill will be showing the film “Take Me Home,” a romantic comedy, which is not rated. For ticket information, call (914) 739-2333.
