YORKTOWN, N.Y. - The Yorktown Town Board is scheduled to meet twice this week, once at a long anticipated work session on a proposal to eliminate the highway superintendent as an elected position. Check out our events page for more listings.

Tuesday, July 24

Town Board: 7 to 9:30 p.m. Yorktown Town Board will discuss a variety of issues at a regularly scheduled work session at Town Hall, Underhill Avenue.

ABACA: 8 p.m. Yorktown's Advisory Board on Architecture and Community Appearance will meet at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center, Room 209. Veterans Road.

Wednesday, July 25

Town Board: 6:30 p.m. The Yorktown Town Board will hold an informational meeting on a proposal by Yorktown Citizens for a DPW to bring a Department of Public Works system to Yorktown and take the highway superintendent position out of the hands of voters.
