Due to the ban on poultry -- as a result of the national avian flu epidemic, there were many more larger livestock animals on site, such as horses, cows, oxen and goats.
Audience participation in the events on Sept. 10-13 such as pie eating and watermelon eating were huge draws.
There were lots of local bands on stage, especially the teenage performers sponsored by the Justin Veatch Fund.
