YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Historical Society will be hosting several events in January.
The schedule and a brief overview of each event is below.
Tuesday, Jan. 7: "Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys and the Dawn of a New America."
The lecture will be hosted by Gilbert King and is part of a scholar's lecture series entitled, "Long Path to Equality."

Thursday, Jan. 9: "Westfield Tower and the Field Family of Mohegan Lake," a presentation by the research and preservation subcommittee of the Board for the Yorktown Historical Society on the history of William Bradhurst Osgood Field, his family and properties in Mohegan Lake.

Saturday, Jan. 18: "Embracing Peekskill After Dark." Photographer Walter Rabetz presents Embracing Peekskill After Dark, at the monthly meeting of the Van Cortlandtville Historical Society.
