YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown resident Joanne Melendez-Napolitano was the highest bidder for a spot on Bernie Williams' softball team at an Aug. 30 charity event at The Ridgefield Playhouse.
Following a round of batting practice, the softball game will be from 1-3 p.m. outside Ridgefield Playhouse. Other guests at the charity game include former New York Yankees Jeff Nelson and Mickey Rivers and CBS Sports Radio host Doug Gottlieb. WHUD's Mike Bennett will provide play-by-play at the game. Proceeds will benefit Hillside Food Outreach and The Ridgefield Playhouse Arts for Everyone Program.
After the game, Melendez-Napolitano will join Williams and his team at a cocktail party before he and his jazz band perform a concert at the playhouse. Special guest Gabrielle Cacciola, featuring Charlie Costa & neKo Soto, will open the concert.
