Yorktown Workshop Focuses On Keeping Kids Safe, Healthy, Drug-Free

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Dignity Initiative will host a workshop on keeping kids safe, healthy and drug-free on Wednesday, July 20, in Yorktown Heights.

Debbie Weinstock, Ph.D., human relations consultant and founder of The Dignity Initiative, will present "What You Can Do Right Now to Help Your Children Stay Safe, Healthy and Drug-Free Through Their Teenage Years" from 6:30-8 p.m. 

The workshop will cover factors that put children at risk of drug use, as well as the underlying issues that motivate their behavior. It will also cover strategies and techniques that parents can use to support their children's self-esteem and resiliency. 

Weinstock will focus on using insights and practical tools to help parents empower their children to reach their highest potential, feel confident and make healthy decisions. 

The workshop costs $35 per person or $50 per couple. It is geared toward parents with children ages 10 and younger.
