YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Jefferson Valley Mall will take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting “Think Pink,” an interactive and educational event, featuring a high-energy fashion show, courtesy of Gap.
It will take place Saturday from noon–3 p.m at the Jefferson Valley Mall, 650 Lee Boulevard Yorktown Heights.
It is free.
As a special tribute, all of the models on the runway will be local women who have battled and survived breast cancer.
Event attendees will also partake in an informational expo featuring health and wellness providers, nutritionists and fitness experts, while taking advantage of free manicures, crafts and light bites from area eateries and enjoying special choreographed performances by Darcy’s Academy of Dance and Performing Arts and Street Beatz Dance Studio.
Jefferson Valley Mall’s Think Pink event will support Mary’s Angels, Community Cares, Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, Relay for Life of Yorktown, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and other local organizations that strive to enhance care for patients in need.
