In honor of American Cancer Society’s 100th year, Relay for Life will hold a contest to see which of its donors can lose the most weight between Feb. 25 and June 7. The winner will be announced at the walk at Jack DeVito Field.

To sign up, participants must join a relay team and donate $100 by Feb 22. The last name box should say “RBL.” Participants should then send an email to co-chair Jane McCarthy at Janemc02@verizon.net with the subject: RFL 100 Days to Lose Big.

Participants will be weighed during the week of Feb. 25 and again on June 7 at a destination to be determined.

“Your weight will not be published,” McCarthy said. “We will work with the weigh-in location to track the start and end weight of the participants.”

Anybody who signs up for the “100 Days” challenge will receive a “Healthy Goody Bag.” The bag will contain a variety of gym passes to Bad Mikes in Mahopac, Club Fit, Gold’s Gym in Carmel, personal training by Connie Cramer, Solaris, Sweat, Zumba from Intrigue Dance & Fitness and a limited supply of food from Jenny Craig.

McCarthy said Relay for Life hopes to name one female, one male and one teen winner. Each winner will get a makeover from Lorese Salon in Yorktown and a photo session by Tabitha Pearson Marshall. More prizes could be added later.
