Yorktown's SEPTA, Wellness Presents Movie Screening, Farm To Table Tasting

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Yorktown Central School District’s Special Education PTA and Wellness Program will hold its sixth movie screening and farm-to-table tasting event on Tuesday.

The event will feature a screening of “Symphony of the Soil,” a film that explore the relationships among humans, plants, animals, water, the atmosphere, and soil.

A panel of local experts will also discuss the issues raised in the film.

Area chefs who source from local farms will also provide items for attendees to taste.

“The Special Education PTA is once again thrilled to partner with the YCSD Wellness Program to help make our community aware of important environment and health issues and to share delicious food right in our own backyard,” Gail Chen, SEPTA representative, said in a press release.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Yorktown High School, 2727 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights.

Admission for students is free, and tickets for adults are $10 each.

The film is appropriate for children in grades 6-12.
