What's Your Favorite Food Chain?
- Starbucks
- Dunkin' Donuts
- Five Guys
- In-N-Out Burgers
- Moe's Southwest Grill
- Chipotle
So it came as no surprise that for the first time in years, the chain has been named the best burger in the United States, knocking out West Coast fav In-N-Out Burger.
So say the results of a 2017 Harris Poll that measures the tastes of hundreds of thousands across the U.S.
This year, Millennials -- those born between 1981and 2001 -- put fast-casual eateries in the forefront in almost every category. And they are brand loyal.
Besides Five Guys, other top favorites included Starbucks, who narrowly beat out Dunkin' Donuts; Moe's Southwest Grill; Ben & Jerry's; Chick-fil-A; Subway, and the Cheesecake Factory.
"Restaurants continue to adapt to the millennial lifestyle, and advancements in ordering methods such as Starbucks’ mobile app and Chick-fil-A’s ‘Mom Valet’ are likely influencing millennials’ higher brand equity scores,” said Joan Sinopoli, vice president of brand solutions at The Harris Poll. The poll research also showed that 11 percent of millennials and 10 percent of Gen X consumers visit Starbucks daily.
“With its engaging rewards app and high-end Starbucks Reserve brand, Starbucks is proactively pursuing millennials and quite frankly, doing it better than most right now," said Sinopoli.
The same goes for Five Guys, who shed its small regional business plan and has expanded across the country with its "fresh and local" only hamburgers and potatoes for their fries.
Of course, a Starbucks can be found on almost every corner locally. To give Five Guys a try visit one of their locations in White Plains, Yonkers, Pelham Manor, or Mohegan Lakes.
