YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - Fresh off her first international tour, Westchester County's own Jessica Lynn returned to play a special homecoming concert Sunday night in front a huge crowd of adoring fans at Yorktown's Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field.
Lynn, a Yorktown resident and Lakeland High graduate, recently released her first EP, and is set to open for legendary country superstar Loretta Lynn on August 27 at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
At Sunday night's concert - the Lions High Performance Summer Concert, presented by the Yorktown Lions Club, and sponsored by Mohegan Lake Motors - music fans of all ages danced near the stage, as Lynn performed songs old and new, as well as a few covers, and left the crowd to a standing ovation.
""After traveling around the world, it was the most incredible feeling coming home to play to such a large hometown audience that came out to support me," Lynn told Daily Voice. "It meant so much and was definitely a homecoming I'll never forget."
Concert-goers were also urged to bring various items to donate to the SPCA of Westchester.
