Cancer survivors, family and friends attended “Celebrate Life Day” on Sunday, a day meant to celebrate and recognize all of those who are affected, and courageous in the face of cancer.

“Support Connection holds Celebrate Life Day each year to pay tribute to cancer survivors for their strength and courage and to recognize the contributions of their families, friends and other caregivers,” said an event press release. Support Connection is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Yorktown that hosted the eighth annual Celebrate Life Day at Traveler's Rest restaurant in Ossining.

Food was provided by Traveler's Rest, while performers entertained guests with music, and cancer survivors spoke about their inspirational journeys to survive cancer.
