As of Friday morning, more than $10,000 of the stated $50,000 goal had been raised by 139 people in just three days. Those interested in donating to the cause can do so online.

“Evan is courageously battling cancer! Evan has been a member for (more than) 25 years and has dedicated a good potion of his life volunteering and helping others in need. It’s now our turn to help him” organizers wrote on his page.

“We would like Evan and his beautiful wife Jessica not to worry about any of the financial strain. We would like them to just be able to battle this horrible disease. We are asking for your help, all donations will be deeply appreciated.”
