YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Ferdinand Rivera of Yorktown Heights died Thursday, March 29, at age 67.
He was born Dec. 16, 1944, to Virgilio and Maria Rivera in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. On April 10, 1966, he married Maria Gonzalez, and their family came to New York City in 1977. Rivera and his family relocated in 1984 to Yorktown Heights, where he has lived since.
He is survived by his wife; his son, Ferdinand (Angelina) Rivera Jr.; his daughters, Olga (Matthew) and Marisol (Giuseppe); his mother, Maria Isabel; 12 brothers; two sisters; and seven grandchildren. Rivera was predeceased by his brother Jorge and his father, Virgilio.
The family will receive visitors at Yorktown Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patricks Church in Yorktown Heights. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, N.Y.
