Funeral Set for Pedestrian Hit by Car in Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Friends left comments on the online funeral announcement remembering a woman who was fatally struck by a car on Ridge St. last week.

The funeral, for Joyce Dyer-Sargeant, is listed by Yorktown Funeral Home as taking place on Thursday and will be held at First Seventh Day Adventist Church of White Plains. Visiting hours begin at 8 a.m. and the service begins at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Police said the 72-year-old woman passed away hours after she was struck by a car operated by a 17-year-old male.
