YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Daily Voice accepts signed letters to the editor by sending them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To the editor:
For the last four years, I have had the privilege and honor to serve as a Yorktown Town Justice, and I am very grateful for the trust the voters of Yorktown showed in me when first elected in 2011, and now again in 2015.
The election was about honesty, integrity, experience and service to our community.
In 2011, my campaign was built on three fundamental concepts:
-- Promoting safety and security (law and order) for the residents
-- Providing reasonable access to the Court
-- Bringing a focus on our youth.
Since that time I have worked diligently with many of you on fulfilling my campaign pledge and have delivered on those commitments.
Today I pledge to continue that work, especially those efforts in support of our young people in our community. When it comes to our youth, law enforcement, service organizations and the education community, I will continue to support their efforts to enhance Yorktown’s quality of life, in the courtroom and beyond.
I would like to recognize my wife, Georgeann, for her tireless and endless support and for helping me run a successful campaign. She was always there every step of the way. Thank you to my children, Gary, Ashley and Heather for all their help and support. The concept of family is at the core of who I am. I could not have done this without you.
Thank you also, to the many friends and supporters who helped with the campaign, and to the agencies and organizations that endorsed my candidacy. I pledge to continue to live up to your expectations.
Thanks to the Yorktown voters’ approval, I will continue to deliver on my commitment to make the Yorktown Justice Court a place of efficiency, honesty and integrity that the residents will look at with great pride. I stand before you incredibly appreciative for your support, and I remain steadfast in my promise to serve the People of Yorktown to best of my ability.
