YORKTOWN, N.Y.This Friday, residents who shop the Jefferson Valley Mall can enjoy a tree lighting ceremony.
The ceremony is the 23rd tree of life celebration hosted by Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam and will take place on Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. The tree of life is an annual benefit aimed with providing individuals with a way to remember loved ones in a special way, according to Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam.
Ornamental doves are available for purchase, and those interested can inscribe the name of a loved one to be displayed on the Evergreen trees at the mall. The actual tree lighting ceremony will feature a musical performace by the Antioch Baptist Church Choir.
The tree of life will run from next Friday until December 24.
