YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- With a hearty congratulations, Chamber of Commerce President Joseph Visconti announced the winners of the Best of Yorktown contest.
This is the first time the contest has been held, and voting took place starting in July. Visconti said the purpose of the contest was to raise awareness for the chamber businesses. Those who voted in the contest could vote for their favorite business in 10 different categories. The winners are:
Deli/Bakery: Dreamcakes Bakery
Automotive Care: Autobaun
Health Club/Fitness: Club Fit
Clothing/Specialty: Wishes Boutique
Doctor/Dentist/Therapist: Dr. Richard Schectman
Dining: Frankie and Augie ' Z Restaurant
Salon: Hair Liberation Salon
Bank: Putnam County Savings Bank
Not for Profit: Support Connection
Home Improvement: Maple Leaf Associates
The winners will be presented with awards at the Yorktown Festival and Street Fair opening ceremonies on October 9.
