Bands of Neighbors are all over Yorktown. Class Action has made a name for itself playing gigs in Yorktown and Westchester. They are great mix of men who play terrific music to sing and dance to all night long. Gary Cusano, Mike Latini, Greg Kuczinski, Matt Daus and Rich Block will be featured at the Garrison Golf Club BBQ Music series on Aug 4th http://www.thegarrison.com/restaurants/barbecue-a-music.html; the Grange Fair on 9/8 and at a fundraiser for the Yorktown Teen Center on 10/20 at Colonial Terrace.
This Old Ghost has a debut EP called Island of Violent Lovers on 8/2. Ian Mcguinness- Vocals, Guitar; Karri Diomede- Vocals, Flute; Ryan Sniffen- Guitar, Vocals; Brendan Coughlan- Bass; Rob Pizzolato- play a combo of folk and rock. They have an upcoming gig on 8/11 at the Birdsall House in Peekskill- a cool microbrewery with a beer garden! The Mildred Strang Middle School graduation was two weeks ago today! Hard to believe these kids are getting ready for high school. There were lots of smiles at the eighth grade dance at Colonial Terrace. These graduates learned how to do the Cotton Eye Joe in first or second grade and proved they still know it in 2011. The moms had as much fun as the kids! The event was spear headed by Tony Galetti and Barbara Nuccio and an army of moms helped with the planning, preparation and the party. Dorothy Forcina and Cindy Corrigan have been friends since their daughters, Nicole Forcina and Katie Corrigan were in pre-school. They were happy to be on the committee and see their daughters dance the night away.
