YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Yorktown resident Michael Fay performed at a popular pedestrian mall in Vermont Saturday as one of 15 members of a performing group from Saint Michael's College called Mike Check.
According to the college, this four-part, all men's a cappella choir was originally formed four years ago as a barbershop quartet and now has 15 student members. The students performed at the mall in downtown Burlington, Vt. to gear up for its final concert of the semester on Friday at 9 p.m. at the college.
Fay, who is a junior psychology major, graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School before attending Saint Michael's.
"Singing in Mike Check is what I imagine being in a brotherhood to be like," said singer John Wall. "We all know we've got each other's backs, and we have fun while doing it. You really can't ask for more."
