YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Whats blue and orange and hails from Yorktown?
Over a dozen members of the Yorktown Teen Center were treated to a Mets game Saturday, to watch the New York Mets beat the Phillies.
The game, hosted at Citifield, was the second trip the Citifield, and the second time the Teen Center attended a win for the home team.
The teen center brings luck to the Mets, said Mike Montaruli, a parent and board member who attended the trip.
The Mets won the game, and may have also won a few fans, as they donated the tickets to the Teen Center. Attendees were also surprised with a giftMets baseball caps were delivered to the teen center seats during the eighth inning.
The event was arranged by former media relations head for the Bronx Bombers, Rick Cerrone.
Cerrone, who comes from Yorktown, once attended the original Teen Center formerly known as the Teen Canteen, which stands where the alternative high school is located in Yorktown. He is the 2011 Joan Valenstein Memorial Youth Advocate, and will be awarded as such at the centers fundraising dinner on Oct. 20.
