17-Year-Old Charged With Shoplifting From Sears In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A 17-year-old Peekskill girl, whose name is being withheld due to youthful offender status, has been arrested and charged with petit larceny after shoplifting from Sears on Friday, Dec. 19, according to Yorktown police.

Police say they were called to Sears on a report of a shoplifter in custody. After an investigation, police found that woman placed several items of Sears merchandise inside a shopping bag and left the store without paying for the items worth $49.50. The woman was placed under arrest and brought to Yorktown police headquarters for processing.

Following processing, the woman was released on her own recognizance to a parent to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Monday, Jan. 15.
