YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- It was hot, humid and sunny for most of Wednesday afternoon around Westchester County, with just a few showers interrupting the sunshine.
Those afternoon showers gave way to heavier rain throughout much of the area later in the afternoon, and after one of the rain pockets passed through, a vivid rainbow appeared, visible from Yorktown and the surrounding areas.
Thursday's forecast called for sunny skies with temps in the high 70's, with a chance of rain after 5 p.m.
Friday is expected to be clear, and Saturday and Sunday are shaping up as perfect beach days - sunny, with temps in the 80's.
