Brookside Elementary School PTA Holds Fall eCycling Drive

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Brookside Elementary School's PTA Fall eCycling Drive is continuing through Friday, Nov. 15.

The drive provides Brookside Elementary School with a payment for every item donated, according to a press release.The drive is set to continue until Nov. 15 with America Recycles Day, according to the release.

The following items are being collected:

Cell phones, Smart Phones, Inkjet Cartridges (size of your palm), Cameras and Camcorders, Netbooks and Tablets, Laptop Computers, iPads and iPods.

"Please ask your friends, relatives, neighbors, doctors and employers to donate too," said Marni Marron, Brookside Elementary School PTA Vice President. "I am happy to pick up any donations personally. Thank you for all your support, help and time in helping me to save a little more of our earth."

Residents with used electronics (working or non-working) stockpiling around households wanting to "get rid of them safely without risk to our landfills, incinerators, exports of e-waste," may drop off the items at the following local businesses:

  • Pure Salon, 2062 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights
  • JJ's Scoop House/Trailside Cafe, 315 Kear Street, Yorktown Heights
  • Coldwell Banker, 366 Underhill Avenue, Yorktown Heights
  • Gymboree Play & Music, 3631 Hill Boulevard, Jefferson Valley
