WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – All Bee-Line buses are operating Thursday, according to the Westchester County government.
The labor negotiations between Liberty Lines Transit, the privately-owned company that operates the buses, and the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 100 continued through Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The current contract expired at midnight Feb. 29, but both sides agreed to "stop the clock."
Check back with your local Main Street Connect news site for more information on the negotiations.

The Bee-Line bus service is one of the best services the county provides. A strike would be devastating to those who depend on their service. I take the #8 several times a week to Getty Square from Tuckahoe. The service is outstanding. Why the county is demanding a 3 year wage freeze is beyond me. If this is not an attempt to bust the union why not then ask for a 1 year freeze. By asking for such draconian demands those negotiating for the county are asking for trouble. Mr. Astorino, stop playing with peoples lives. Be reasonable and get the deal signed. That is unless you are pushing for a strike since most of the riders of the Bee- Line service most likely wouldn't vote for you anyway. Jeff Meyer Tuckahoe, NY
