Celebrate 2012 in Yorktown This Weekend

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Looking for a spot in Yorktown to ring in the new year close to home? Let us know how you plan to celebrate the new year, or check out some of these New Year's Eve and New Year's Day events.

Augie's located in Mohegan Lake is offering a New Year's Eve celebration , complete with live music, a champagne toast at midnight, hats and noisemakers. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling 914-743-1357. Augie's also offers a champagne brunch not just on New Year's Day, but every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Their champagne brunch is $24.95, and includes a bottomless glass of champagne.

Don Tommaso's in Yorktown is also offering a New Years celebration , which includes dinner and dancing with DJ Gatto. For the price of $75, you can enjoy dinner and drinks, or for $50 you can get just drinks. A la carte is also available that evening. The  celebration starts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Thyme Restaurant in Yorktown is offering a special prix fixe holiday menu for New Year's Eve at a price of $65 per person. Thyme also offers a champagne brunch on New Year's day, and all other Sundays beginning at 11 a.m. and lasting until 2:30 p.m. For more information, call 914-788-8700.

Traveler's Rest is also offering New Year's Eve Dinner and New Year's Day meals as well. From 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve, the restaurant is offering a special dinner menu . The restaurant will also be open on New Year's Day from noon to 7 p.m.
