YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Fewer than 500 power outages remain in Yorktown Friday morning, 12 days after Hurricane Sandy stormed through town.
An estimated 465 out of 8,173 Con Edison customers in Yorktown were without power at 8 a.m. Friday, down from 698 on Thursday morning.
For NYSEG, only two of 6,461 customers were without power, down from four Thursday morning. The company reports that 27 outages remain in all of Westchester.
Con Edison reported approximately 16,557 of its 348,198 Westchester customers out of service as of Friday morning, down from 34,101 Thursday morning.
Con Ed customers can report downed power lines, outages, and check service restoration status by computer or mobile device at www.conEd.com. They also can call 1-800-75-CONED(1-800-752-6633). Customers who report outages will be called by Con Edison with their estimated restoration times as they become available, according to the release.
NYSEG customers can go to the company’s website at www.nyseg.com or call 1-800-572-1131 for local estimated times of restoration.
