The GoFundMe fundraiser has already brought in more than $30,000 in two days for the family of Clint Herbert. The goal is $35,000.

Herbert, 42, a lineman and lineman foreman for Con Edison, was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision with another car along Route 202 near Lake Road in Somers.

Authorities say it appears Herbert's car, which was traveling eastbound, entered the westbound lane and struck another car head-on. The driver of the other car was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Herbert leaves behind a wife and seven children. Christopher Del Bene, a fellow lineman who set up the GoFundMe page, said Herbert was dedicated to providing for his family.

"There aren't enough words to explain the greatness of this man," Del Bene wrote on the GoFundMe page. "His constant joy resonated and spread to all of his peers and fellow co-workers."

Del Bene said Herbert's children range in age from 1 to 18.
