WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Starting Tuesday, Hutchinson River Parkway southbound and northbound lanes will be closed between Exit 7 (U.S. Route 1) and Exit 15 (Cross County Parkway), according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will continue through Friday, weather permitting, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work area, the DOT said in a press release, and warned that fines for speeding in work zone are doubled.
“In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license,” the press release said.
